New street helmet

Two more flags on, UK and Washington State, thank you very much :-).

Also, after driving to track days in my helmet, I decided I needed an inexpensive one for use around town, and general street driving. It'd be really annoying to get a rock chip or a broken visor on my racing helmet on the way to an event. So monday I picked up a Box BX-1 motorbike helmet in red.
After a bit of a drive with it yesterday, I'm very happy with it. It's quiet and comfortable, and the field of view is fantastic for street use. If anyone drives their Caterham around a lot, and is tired of wind destroying their eyesight and hearing, buy one of these, it was £60 and comes in a number of colours (even pink).

  1. England? I can't see the flag of England anywhere there...

You've made the classic American mistake Tor! That flag at the top left is the Union Jack, the flag of the United Kingdom. "England" is the bit of the UK that is left after you subtract Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Its flag is the St Georges Cross, just the red vertical/horizontal flag...

I remember visiting the US as a group of students and being introduced by our hosts as "the visiting group from En-gel-land". Trouble was, we had a Glaswegian amongst us, who would always call out "Aye! An' Scortland!"

    1. :-D. Not a mistake, just a mistype, I thought union jack, but wrote England... I know what the differences are... :-). Fixed it now.
